Acceptable Use Policy

MSDHost Acceptable Use Policy

Effective date: August 10, 2026

This policy protects MSDHost customers, infrastructure, providers, and the public. It applies to hosting, websites, email, databases, DNS, domains, VPS services, support systems, and related network use.

Prohibited use

  • Illegal activity or content that violates applicable rights.
  • Malware, ransomware, credential theft, phishing, botnets, command-and-control, or unauthorized access.
  • Spam, purchased mailing lists, deceptive messaging, or email sent without required consent.
  • Denial-of-service activity, abusive scanning, exploitation, traffic amplification, or attacks on other systems.
  • Hosting or distributing stolen credentials, payment data, identity documents, or other unlawfully obtained information.
  • Copyright or trademark infringement after valid notice and review.
  • Activity designed to evade provider, registry, security, or usage controls.
  • Resource-intensive mining, proxying, scraping, relaying, or automation that harms shared infrastructure unless specifically approved in writing.

Security responsibilities

Customers must use strong credentials, keep software updated, remove abandoned applications, and respond to compromise or abuse notices. Open relays, exposed administrative tools, and known vulnerable software may be restricted.

Resource use

Shared hosting resources must remain within plan limits and reasonable use. MSDHost may rate-limit, isolate, or require an upgrade when sustained activity degrades other customers or platform stability.

Email and messaging

Senders must use accurate identities, honor opt-out requests, maintain required consent, and comply with applicable anti-spam rules. High complaint, bounce, or abuse rates may cause immediate restrictions.

Enforcement

MSDHost may investigate reports, request corrective action, preserve relevant audit data, restrict a feature, suspend a service, or terminate service when necessary. Urgent threats may be acted on without advance notice. Customers may contact support@msdhost.com to provide context or appeal an action.
